Vezzolano rectory and the Pope route

The alternative of Canonica of Vezzolano/Pope Route, taken when – going down from Cinzano in direction of Moncucco T.se and arriving to the crossing with the provincial road which leads to Moncucco from Benzano San Pietro – is crossed in direction of the hamlet Pogliano, arriving then in Vezzolano. From here you can go down up to Castelnuovo Don Bosco (Saint Eusebio Church), passing through the town centre up to the schools, following a track crossing woods and vineyards, which leads to the Pope Route, a quiet paved route which leads to Colle Don Bosco.

In order to avoid the town centre of Castelnuovo and reduce the path on paved routes, after having reached the Saint Eusebio church you can go to Sant’Andrea, following the old route to Albugnano. After arriving in San Pietro in Zucca you turn right passing through Galavertini, Ranello and Mondonio, and reach the hamlet Morialdo and, thereafter, Colle walking along the Pope Route.

Optional route of Buttigliera d’Asti

The alternative route of Buttigliera d’Asti, start from the romanesque church of San Martino and passing through the hamlet Serra and lastly in Colle Don Bosco.
